Manuel "Manny" Guerra

Manuel “Manny” Guerra, III was born and reared in McAllen, Texas. His
parents were both educators for the McAllen Independent School System for
38 and 40 years respectively. He graduated from McAllen High School in 1978
where he actively participated in sports and excelled in football, baseball and
track. He went on to Austin College, Sherman, Texas where he attended
college. He worked for insurance companies thereafter for approximately 9
years and during that time while working attended night law school at the
Texas Wesleyan University School of Law later Texas A & M School of Law. He
was licensed to practice law in Texas in May 1997. He has successfully
assisted personal injury clients for the last 27 years.

Mr. Guerra returned to South Texas in 1997 and began his practice as a solo
practitioner practicing in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Law. The
experience he gained from working for the insurance companies gave him
great knowledge and understanding in handling personal injury cases. He has
tried several cases to verdict and has successfully concluded those cases and
many more to successful conclusion. The subject matter of those cases are
personal injury car wreck cases with one yielding a successful settlement
exceeding 4.5 million in 2022, 18 wheeler accident cases with several cases
concluded exceeding 1 million dollars. Other cases include highway
construction defect cases, products liability cases and jail death cases.

Mr. Guerra has two adult children, Alan and Analucia Guerra. Daughter
Analucia graduated from St. Edward’s University in May 2023 and is working
in Austin, Texas for a non-pro�it organization. Son, Alan Guerra graduated
from Austin College in 2019 and is attending law school. He is very proud of
both his adult children.

Mr. Guerra is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, is a current
Children’s Leader for Bible Study Fellowship and participating member in BSF
for the last 25 years, past president of the Boy Scouts of America – Rio Grande
Council. He received his B.A. from Austin College in 1982 and his J.D. from
Texas A&M School of Law in 1994. He is a trustee at the First United
Methodist Church where both he and his wife attend currently. His
determination in service to our communities is evidenced in his actions to
serve and sel�lessly serve others and organizations. He credits his strong
desire to serve from his parents and aunt and uncle.
