Andrew Coward
Law Clerk
Mr. Coward brings more than 17 years of experience in the legal field, with a background in litigation support, legal research, writing, and case preparation. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside attorneys on a wide range of legal matters, developing valuable experience in analyzing complex legal issues and assisting with all stages of case preparation.
After graduating from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) in 2016, Mr. Coward attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2022. Following law school, he worked with the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained valuable exposure to courtroom practice and the criminal justice system.
In March 2023, Mr. Coward joined the Guerra Law Firm as a law clerk. Since joining the firm, he has continued to build upon his litigation experience by assisting Mr. Guerra and the firm’s legal team with complex litigation matters, legal research and analysis, case preparation, and the development of legal strategies on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Mr. Coward recently took the Texas Bar Exam and looks forward to serving his community as a licensed attorney and advocate for his clients.
Outside of the office, Mr. Coward enjoys spending time outdoors, caring for his dogs, and spending quality time with his wife, family, and friends. He values family, faith, and community and enjoys staying connected to the people and places that are important to him. Whether spending time outdoors, attending church, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Mr. Coward appreciates the experiences and relationships that keep him grounded and connected to his community.
